Sola Salon Studios is welcoming Christina Russell as its new CEO.

Russell joins the Sola team with extensive senior leadership background in franchising with companies such as Curves, Camp Bow Wow and Pure Barre, where she was recently CEO. She began her career in the franchise industry as a multi-unit owner, which provides her a unique, rich perspective and background that she brings to this role.

In her role, Russell will be responsible for overseeing leadership, strategy and execution for all growth initiatives both domestically and internationally, including operational management of all company-owned and operated Sola locations.

“The entire Sola team – internally and externally – would like to extend a warm welcome to Christina," says Myrle McNeal, Chief Operating Officer, Sola Salon Studios. "Her vast expertise and experience affords her a keen understanding of the Sola business model and the skills to help propel us to the next level. She has impressed us all with her willingness to learn, her ability to strategically understand how we come together as a Sola community, and the potential Sola has within both the professional beauty industry, as well as the franchise community. Her skill sets are ideally suited for us and we are excited to have her on board."

Russell will be based in Denver, reporting to the company’s board of directors.

“I am excited to assume this role because I truly believe in Sola and what it stands for," says Russell. " I believe in the Sola team and their passionate commitment to the beauty industry overall and the many entrepreneurial, independent beauty professionals. There’s nothing more powerful than a group of passionate and creative business owners galvanized around a common mission. And it is especially powerful when that mission empowers others to live their best lives. That’s what Sola is all about, and that purpose resonates deeply with me."
