“This was her first session with me,” says Andreana Nunez (@dreeanaloveee) of Agence Salon, San Dimas, California, about her new client. “She sat in my chair ready for a dramatic change.” During the consultation the client told Nunez that she wanted to chop it all off, donate, and go BLONDE! “As blonde as can be,” adds Nunez. "With her natural level 2 VIRGIN hair we were able to achieve a level 9 ash blonde in one sitting.”
Here the artist shares the details for the seven hour process:
STEP 1: Babylight the hair using Redken Flash Lift with 15 volume, taking slices starting in the back, working up to 20vol in the front. NOTE: “Her hair was very thick and course so I made sure to take very fine 1/4 sub section partings and fully saturate.”
STEP 2: Between each babylight, slice and tease each piece, painting in an upward feathered motion.
STEP 3: Repeat this again, leaving no hair out of foil. (Application took about 2 hours.)
STEP 4: Return to the back and pull out the foils that had processed. Wipe the lightener off, spray with water and towel dry. Continue this to all hair once processed. Rinse thoroughly.
STEP 5: Shadow root with Redken Shades EQ - 1oz 5N , 1/2 oz 6T, 1/4 4N. Process for 10 minutes.
STEP 6: Gloss with Redken Shades EQ 1oz 9V, 1/2 oz 9P, 1/4 9T. Process for 10 minutes.
