Bumble and bumble's Jimmy Paul has achieved "stardom" as an editorial hairdresser (magazine covers, fashion week, etc. etc.). He has also earned a spot on the list of MAGGIE'S FAVORITE HAIRDRESSERS (it's a GREAT list!).

At a recent press event to launch some new Bumble and bumble products (a secret now, but we will let you know in March when they will be available), Jimmy was tapped to present to the editors to show how he uses products to create those big, voluminous, sexy looks that have become his "signature".

When asked if there were any questions, I rudely held up my iPhone and asked Jimmy if he had any one tip for freelance hairdressers to achieve superstardom in the editorial world. Among other things, Jimmy advises:

"Learn products and use the best products. Experiment with them."

"Using the right products cuts my work in half and makes my work a pleasure."

"Hairdressing is one of the those things you just can't learn enough."

"Get inspired by the trends seen on the street."

"The women on the street are so inspiring. Somehow things are just RIGHT here in NY. Even the girl with a wet ponytail looks right. New York has taste."

"My advice to free-lance hairdressers is move to NY...or Paris or any other city where there is style."
