HOW TO: Oribe’s Sexy Cover Look

Jan Hillenmeyer | January 3, 2013 | 1:40 PM

The sometimes staid Wall Street Journal shifts gears with its WSJ Magazine when it focuses its attention on fashion and style. The cover of the current issue features a beautiful and sophisticated look for super model Carolyn Murphy created by Oribe.

HOW TO: Oribe’s Sexy Cover LookOribe went for blonde bombshell hair. “The look was big, beautiful and luxurious,” says Oribe. “It was all about bringing out her natural sexiness.” Oribe began with a blunted and layered cut and finished the look with a series of his signature products.

GET THE LOOK:

Spray hair throughout with Oribe Volumista before blow drying with a round brush.

Set hair with Velcro rollers and brush out curls.

Apply a generous amount of Oribe Dry at the roots for lift. Tease the hair to the desired height and smooth the top.

Apply Oribe Smooth Style Serum for detailing curls, fringe and pieces around the face. “Smooth Style Serum provides both moisture and hold so hair stays lustrous,” says Oribe.
