Tej Belagodu is a hair enthusiast, entrepreneur and engineer. He has been following the hair industry for a number of years but got directly involved only during the Covid-19 pandemic. Witnessing the significant challenges faced by industry professionals and businesses during lockdown, he took the initiative to create an online marketplace. This platform enabled individuals to order customized DIY hair color kits, formulated by licensed stylists of their choice following a video consultation. This venture generated several thousand dollars in revenue before it was sunset after a couple of years of operation. Currently, Tej is developing an innovative system to rate an individual's hair’s thickness and health relative to the broader population, with the aim of tracking these metrics over time (learn more on his website www.manescore.com and follow @manescore on Instagram). Occasionally, he writes articles on diverse hair-related topics, with his work featured on Modern Salon. At his day job, Tej serves as an Engineering Manager within the manufacturing organization of a semiconductor technology company, leveraging over 15 years of experience in the engineering field across various corporations since earning his Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University.
