The Unexpected Accessory @omgartistry Used To Win "The Look" Competition
The votes are in and the grand prize winner of The CW's The Look: All Stars Contest is @omgartistry Olivia Smalley!
"It has been a goal of mine to make it onto this show and to actually have this become a reality is very surreal for me," says Olivia. "I firmly believe in stylists supporting each other and it truly means so much that my fellow stylists, friends and family voted and cheered me on during this process. I am extremely grateful to be gifted with this opportunity!"
To win the competition, the five finalists were asked to create a video tutorial showing and describing a day-to-evening transformation in one minute! Olivia’s strategy was a combination French and fishtail braid, adorned with…wait for it…fairy lights! Here’s how she did it.

Begin by creating a French braid. Start with an average braid toward the crown of the head and continue by adding a bit more hair.When braiding reaches the nape, transition the French braid to a fishtail braid. Secure the braid at the end.Gently tug on the side sections of the braid for a romantic, expanded shape.Weave a delicate strand of fairy lights through the braid for a dreamy, magical result.
