Pivot Point International, Inc. has introduced a new, internationally patented Mannequin Snap Cap System for cosmetology students, educators and salon professionals to use for hands-on hairdressing training.

The new Snap Cap System will be used in the place of traditional mannequins. The system is easy to use, versatile and not taxing on the environment (helps reduce environmental waste). The caps are offered in a variety of lengths, textures and color levels. When you're done coloring, cutting or styling with a mannequin head, simply snap off the top and replace it with another cap!

Ethically manufactured, following compliance of SA8000 certification standards, the hair caps are expertly hand-implanted with 100% human in natural growth patterns.

In addition to perfecting cutting, coloring, texture or finishing techniques, the new Pivot Point Snap Cap System represents a vastly improved educational hair training system that utilizes a re-usable, recyclable head form and multiple hair caps to support endless educational possibilities.

Watch this video on how to apply, remove and clean the Snap Cap.

The new Snap Cap System consists of:

  • A head form, hard inner cap, locking key with lanyard and woven bag;
  • A variety of hair caps; and
  • Dryer post.

“Pivot Point created the new Snap Cap to appeal to today’s incoming salon professionals who want products that have a space-saving design, are ethically produced and environmentally conscious,” said Paul Suttles, Pivot Point Director of Field Education. “Pivot Point is committed to offering students and salon pros the highest quality of educational hair without the excess waste of traditional mannequins.
