Irons for today’s textured looks, dryers for sleek blowouts, trimmers for men’s growing facial hair—all trends point to tool profits for you!

Breakthroughs in technology are making tools fasterperforming, safer and easier to use. Multiple heat settings, auto shut-offs and sturdy, lightweight design are features on many CosmoProf brand tools, which are dressed for the season in beautiful boxes and wrappings.

“The new ghd Platinum, our best ever styler, has cut my styling time in half,” says Pepper Pastor, ghd director of education. “With a single pass of the iron, I can give clients the same sleek look I used to create with a blow dryer. For Veronica Lake waves, I use the ghd Platinum with our ribbon technique.”

Mia Liguori, Scruples co-president creative, advises stylists to be skilled in every type of texture design this season. “Using a one-inch barrel iron, wrap the hair in the same direction all the way around the head,” she recommends. “That will give the waves a modern, polished look.”

Another trick to today’s looks is to leave out the ends of the hair, according to Rocky Vitelli, member of Farouk’s Global Artistic Board. If you were leaving out an inch of hair for beachy summer style, Vitelli suggests scaling it back to a quarter-inch for winter looks, adding, “Run your fingers through the ends to give them a jagged edge.”
