This client came in with the traditional brown and blonde ombre. She was looking for a change, and decided to spice up her hair with a beautiful dark red-violet base with pops of a more vibrant red on her ends. The color line used was Richesse by Loreal Professional. To create this look I did 4.62 with 9 volume developer at her base and smudged it down about 3 inches. I let her sit for about 10 minutes and then pulled through 3/4 4.62 and 1/4 clear with 15 volume developer to give her that extra brightness. Let her process an additional 10 minutes. We also applied a treatment at the sink called Cristalceutic by Loreal Professional to help lock in her color, and give her a beautiful shine finish.

HOW-TO: Before and After Using Hairtalk Tape-In Extensions

Alison Alhamed | September 20, 2017

MODERN’s Editor in Chief Alison Alhamed recently cut off quite a bit of length from her over-processed ends, which took her long lengths up to a just-past-the-shoulder lob. Although her number-one goal was a return to healthier hair, the change left her feeling a little uneasy. So she called upon Hairtalk Master Educator Alicia Iannone to transform her balayaged lob with face-framing money pieces into a healthy, bright beige-y blonde that is completely seamless.
