Giuliana Rancic is NAHA '12 Host and Beautiful Humanitarian

The Professional Beauty Association (PBA), producers of the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA), is proud to announce Giuliana Rancic as the host for the 2012 NAHA Awards Ceremony. Additionally, Giuliana will be the recipient of the Beautiful Humanitarian Award, honoring her for sharing her own experience and educating others about breast cancer, as well as championing many other charitable causes.

New NAHA Category: Newcomer Stylist of the Year

The North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) has added a new category for 2012: The NAHA Newcomer Stylist of the Year award. To qualify to enter, the entrant must be a licensed cosmetologist with less than three years of professional experience. The new category seeks to recognize a rising talent in the professional hairstyling industry and is meant to bridge the gap between Student Hairstylist of the Year and Hairstylist of the Year. 2010 PBA Beautiful Humanitarian: Holly Robinson Peete

PBA established the Beautiful Humanitarian Award to recognize a public figure who is an example of both outer and inner beauty. The award exemplifies the concept that beauty is more than skin deep and, although the industry’s mission is to make people look and feel their best, participation in community and charitable endeavors carries its own sense of beauty.Robinson Peete is the founder of the HollyRod Foundation helping people cope with devastating life circumstances. She is a committed advocate for education, and for families dealing with autism and Parkinson’s disease. She is a spokes person for the charitable efforts of several companies including Target, Sketchers and Toys R’ Us. She is a Board of Overseer’s member at the Keck School of Medicine at the University Southern California, and a trustee of the greater Los Angeles Zoo Association.
