Aveda has announced its 2010 Earth Month initiatives, which include the company’s ambitious goal to raise $3.5 million for Clean Water Rights.
This year, NAHA 2010 will induct entrepreneur and founder of the Aveda Fredric’s Institutes Frederic Holzberger into the NAHA Hall of Leaders, and will recognize internationally renowned hair color specialist, educator and salon owner, Beth Minardi, with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Aveda partnered with New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to kick off its “Tap Water on the Go” stations as part of its Aveda CatWalks for Water campaign during New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2010. Supporting the event, John Patrick of ORGANIC by John Patrick and Project Runway's Christian Siriano joined Aveda and DEP to encourage the fashion community to do their part for the environment.

Fashion designer Christian Siriano really cares about hair. At his fall/winter 2010 collection shown during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York, Siriano and Aveda's Antoinette Beenders worked together to create beautiful hair to complement his beautiful fashion designs.
