Ouidad has introduced a brand new collection, Coil Infusion, specifically formulated for 4A-C coils and zig zag curls. The collection offers products with moisture-locking, frizz-fighting and curl-elongating benefits that make for a spa-like wash day while delivering performance that extends styles even further.

“Natural, textured hair and Type 4 curls require a specific kind of care and attention,” explains Marina Binichis, Global Executive Vice President Marketing & Innovation at Beauty by Imagination. “With Coil Infusion we are excited to offer our first bespoke solution created to meet the singular needs of natural coily hair. As a pioneer in the curl category with more than 35 years of experience, our newest line features luxurious formulas and nourishing, plant-based ingredients that offer the exceptional quality and performance expected from Ouidad.”

Defined by a close-knit curl pattern, Type 4A, 4B and 4C coils and zig-zag curls wind up and out. Due to the smaller surface area of tight coils, Type 4 hair sometimes struggles to absorb sufficient moisture, leaving it prone to breakage and shrinkage. To combat these issues, Coil Infusion’s hydrating, plant-based ingredients are absorbed to enhance natural curl pattern while also restoring moisture to strengthen and elongate curls.

The line features six products to boost natural curls, including:

To help launch the collection, Ouidad partnered with celebrity hairstylist, Chuck Amos, who creates iconic hairstyles for clients including Naomi Campbell, Kerry Washington and Alicia Keys.

“A woman’s curls and coils are her crowning glory. But in order to look their best, it’s crucial that Type 4 curls get the moisture they need – especially as we move into the hot summer months,” says Amos. “With Ouidad Coil Infusion, you get a salon-quality formula with ‘good for curls' ingredients that are designed to come through by gently cleansing, deeply moisturizing, and thoroughly nourishing in order to prevent shrinkage and breakage.”

Ouidad Coil Infusion collection is available now at Ouidad.com and SalonCentric.
