Oribe has had a huge presence on the hair side of this year’s September New York Fashion Week, taking the stage along with major fashion labels and adding the finishing touches to all sorts of innovative looks. The ensembles and models are visually stunning, but none are complete without gorgeous hair.

The Marrisa Wilson Spring/Summer 2023
Expressive prints, watercolor strokes and brightly colored feathers are complemented by a hair look that brings the theme “Of Many Waters” to life. Kien Hoang, Oribe Principal Artist of Content and Styling, created a variation of braided styles, all adorned with clear beads in a range of sizes to mimic rain drops.

The
The Gabriela Hearst Spring/Summer 2023 Collection drew inspiration from Sappho—one of the world’s first examples of feminism from the 6th century—and gold metallic body forms. Session Stylist Holli Smith complemented the collection with a hair look rooted in simplicity and minimal beauty. A very flat crown grounded the style, with natural texture through the lengths that embraced the models’ individual hair patterns.

Designer Alexandra O’Neill described the Markarian Spring/Summer 2023 Collection as one that explores the synergies between art, fashion and nature. “Vine-like motifs, glimmering sequins, and varied proportions speak to the idea of growth and renewal, inspired by the works of great Renaissance masters,” she said of the season’s designs.
