The Blonds Autumn/Winter 2023 Collection drew inspiration from 1950s and 1960s couture glam. To bring this vision to life and pay homage to the era, Oribe Principal Artist of Global Design, Kien Hoang (@kienhoang) utilized lots of wigs, high-volume styles, flips, and over-the-top bouffants.

Get the Look: High-Volume Couture

1. To achieve the highest volume, prep hair with Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray and pull into high ponytail at top of the crown, leaving the front of the hairline out of the ponytail to be backcombed later.

2. Set high ponytail with Oribe Superfine Hair Spray and set mesh “doughnut” form around ponytail to act as an anchor for the wig.

3. Place wig on the head and pin to a high ponytail. Use Oribe Imperméable Anti-Humidity Spray to style and shape the wig’s flips at ends of hair.

4. Spray Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray and Oribe Swept Up Volume Powder Spray on the front hairline that was previously left out, and backcomb and lace into the wig, forming the bouffant volume at top of head.

5. Continue backcombing throughout the crown and shaping with Oribe Imperméable Anti-Humidity Spray until maximum volume is desired.

6. Set the final look with Oribe Superfine Strong Hair Spray.
