By reimagining the classic roller through modern engineering, Flatts delivers salon-quality volume with a compact, travel-ready design.

Anything that saves space is welcome for artists who travel, work on-set or do special event styling. We received information on Hair by Flatts, a female-founded beauty startup, announcing the launch of Flatts™—a collapsible velcro roller designed with a sleek, patent-pending structure that redefines both form and function in everyday hair styling.
By reimagining the classic roller through modern engineering, Flatts delivers salon-quality volume with a compact, travel-ready design.
The initial product to market is a 2-inch Velcro roller—the first of its kind to feature a collapsible design. While Velcro rollers have enjoyed a major comeback thanks to their ease, bounce, and heat-free styling, their traditional bulky design has remained unchanged for decades. Flatts solves this long-standing issue with proprietary unfolding technology that allows each roller to lay completely flat, reducing storage volume by approximately 70%.
“Flatts is about solving a problem most people didn’t even know they had—until they see it,” says Kim Agin, founder of Hair by Flatts. “We wanted to take a timeless beauty tool and make it smarter, sleeker, and more suited to how people live today. Flatts make it easier to take great hair with you, wherever you're headed.”

Flat-to-Fabulous Design - Collapsible rollers store completely flat—perfect for saving space in artist's kits, drawers, travel bags, gym lockers, or car consoles. Say goodbye to bulky tubes and hello to styling on the go.
Effortless Volume, No Clips Required - Lightweight and clip-free, each roller is wrapped in high-quality Velcro designed to grip most hair types and textures with ease—just roll and go.
Healthier, Heat-Free Styling- Create lasting volume, curls, or waves with minimal heat, helping reduce damage and support healthier, shinier hair over time.
Durable & Reusable - A patent-pending living hinge and secure internal magnetic closure allow each Flatts™ roller to hold its shape like a traditional roller—again and again—without losing integrity or creating clutter.
Each set includes six 2-inch rollers and a mesh carrying case for $29.99 (plus tax & shipping). Flatts™ is currently available direct-to-consumer at www.hairbyflatts.com, via the TikTok Shop and select retailers.
