Like all others, I direct the hair very forward and in this case I’m flipping the ends back a bit. The best way to do this is to hold the brush vertically while you grab the hair and pull down. Kill two birds with one stone.
As always, I’m constantly assessing the haircut while I blow dry to make sure the hair is performing how it should. That way I know where I have to tweak the haircut.
Finish with some dry texture spray and pinch, fluff and tuck.
Ideally, styling short hair should be quick and easy. This whole blow dry took only 7 minutes and 2 products.
Directing all the hair forward from the crown and then towards the middle will provide good tension to smooth it out, as well as keep the style narrow.
You can see I don’t really section the hair and I’m essentially just grabbing it with the brush and pulling forward. The last thing you want to do for this type of style is part it and then blow dry everything to each side. It would be poof city!
