Most of us stay in this business because we have come to appreciate, among many other aspects of the salon industry, that hair has the power to affect how people see themselves, express themselves and establish a cultural and lifestyle essence for themselves.
Most of us stay in this business because we have come to appreciate, among many other aspects of the salon industry, that hair has the power to affect how people see themselves, express themselves and establish a cultural and lifestyle essence for themselves.
Because hair is so vital to how we view ourselves and others, the effect isn't always positive Elline Surianello, founder and CEO of LeMetric Hair Center clinics, found this out for herself when she began experiencing hair loss at a young age because of a condition called androgenetic alopecia.
Her own situation led her to develop the unique LeMetric Hair Systems that offer beautiful, long lasting and gentle solutions to thinning hair or hair loss. Elline personally oversees and wears each LeMetric product to give it her personal endorsement for comfort and style.

Elline and LeMetric recently hosted an event for women called The Power of Hair at New York's flagship Saks Fifth Avenue store. Elline's presentation explaining LeMetric's professional services included an expert panel of hair and beauty leaders, make-up demonstrations, courtesy of Saks, and an elegant array of refreshments, all in a great social and networking event.
The panel, which discussed the important roles that hair plays in women's lives featured Qianna Smith, editor-at-large of FashionQandA.com, Dr. Judith Hellman, dermatologist, Eugene Smith, celebrity hair stylist from the Ted Gibson Salon, and Dr. Dennis Lin, MD, sex therapist and psychiatrist. Elline moderated the panel discussion and the question and answer session that followed.
Eugene Smith garnered a lot of questions as audience members picked his brain regarding solutions to their various hair related issues. The pursuit of good hair days seems to unite us all, women especially.
