The Deco Miami Nail Team, led backstage by Grace Kingsley of London, was busy during New York Fashion Week as it partnered with several designers as well as those involved with AMCONYC Fashion Week. As in seasons past, the designers had very specific visions of what the nails should look like and worked directly with Deco Miami founder Jules to select nail art and polish colors that would complement the pieces in their SS18 collections. 

PH5: Get the look

• Buff and file down nails to shorter length

• Prep nails with Deco Miami's Dual Top/Base Coat

• Use thin striper brush to carefully outline each nail with Deco Miami's Coco, Senorita, or Brickell Blue

Nicole Bell: Get the look

• Prep nails with Deco Miami's Dual Top/Base Coat

• Paint two coats of Deco Miami's Coco

• With a thin striper crush, alternate between making think horizontal and vertical stripes with Deco Miami's Black Like My Soul (thoroughly allow the black stripes to dry before next step)

• Once the stripes are dry, finish the look with Deco Miami's Top/Base Coat

KLAD: Get the look

• Prep nails with Deco Miami's Dual Top/Base Coat

• Paint two coats of Deco Miami's Cafe Con Leche

• Finish with Deco Miami's Dual Top/Base Coat

Kim Shui: Get the look

• Prep nails for press-ons with buffers and acetone to create a clean sufrace

• Apply the press-on nails and add Deco's Dual Top/Base Coat

• Dot each nail in the upper center region with Black Like My Soul

• Apply a black strip from the top corner of the cuticle across the nail where the natural nail ends under the press-on in a crescent moon shape

Atelier Kate: Get the look

• Prep nails with Deco Miami's Dual Top/Base Coat

• Paint two coats with Deco Miami's deep charcoal Black Like My Soul

• Paint one coat with Deco Miami's Matte Top Coat (Winter 2018)

• Once dry, make a neat side swoop from the top of the nail down the side with Deco Miami's oxblood Tied Down.
