Andis Company announces its return to America’s Beauty Show (ABS), as clipper cutting experts take part in the second annual Fabulous Fades Competition atop the CosmoProf Center Stage on Saturday, April 28, 2018.

The professionals-only event encourages barbers and stylists to showcase their most impressive techniques and designs to create a cutting-edge look using Andis tools exclusively. From high fade to low fade and fade with a pomp, the men’s haircutting event will demonstrate the immense skill needed to create this increasingly popular style.

“We are excited to again partner with CosmoProf and ABS to put the art of clipper cutting on center stage at America’s Beauty Show,” said Bruce Bock, Senior Manager of Corporate Communications for Andis. “We had a stellar field of contestants in 2017 and look forward to an even higher level of competition this year.”

Licensed hair professionals will compete on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. for the chance to win a share of $1,200 in prizes. Cost for registration is $120 and all competitors will be gifted an Andis tool package valued at more than $150. Contestants will be given 30 minutes to complete the cut on a live model and are required to remove at least a half inch of hair.

Prior to the Fabulous Fades competition, Andis will also host a Females Who Fade demonstration to highlight the latest in fading techniques and tools with 2017 NAHA Men’s Stylist of the Year, Whitney VerMeer and Global Education Manager, Jessica Zeinstra.

“Today, barbering isn’t just for the boys. More and more women are taking up residence in the men’s grooming space,” explains Zeinstra. “Whitney, our powerhouse in modern barbering, will teach show goers how they can dominate the world of fades.”
