MODERN launched our Balayage & Bohocompetition in June to promote industry artistry and name one of YOU as the newest member of our exclusive 2017 Artist Collective (which includes @lalasupdos, @omgartistry, @shelleygregoryhair, @mermicornhair, and @hairbysaretta among others).    

After receiving thousands of entries since the contest’s launch, it was extremely difficult to narrow the pool of trendy styles down to 10. From space buns, hand-painted styles, braids and hair accessories, it wasn’t easy to judge this first round, but it certainly was beautiful!

This group of 10 semifinalists not only earn major bragging rights, but they also receive incredible prizes, including a gift box packed with goodies (we’re not kidding, it’s PACKED) from some of our favorites—Evo, Hempz, Kenra Professional, KMS, Olivia Garden, Paul Mitchell, Pink Pewter, and Varis. These pro beauty brands pulled out all the stops to gift this group with the goodies to help up their styling business and create perfectly undone finishes.

But the semifinalists aren’t off the hook just yet—MODERN is challenging them to create another festival-inspired look. We want to see the most beautiful, glam, edgy, gorgeous boho creations possible that will be sent off to judging by the best in the biz—MODERN’s 2017 Artist Collective!
