Step 1:
Apply a generous amount of Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Grooming Pomade to dry hair, from scalp to ends. Isolate a half-inch center part that splits at the crown and curves, ending just behind both ears. This will now divide the front and back of the head.

Begin braiding to the scalp, only half of the center part that splits to one side just behind the ear. The braiding method may vary depending on the desired end result. Repeat on the opposite side, starting once again at the front center part. Next using crescent shaped sections, braid along the front hairline adding strands of hair from the crescent section. Continue taking crescent shaped sections and braid to the scalp, adding hair to one side of the braid. Repeat on the opposite side and the front of the head is complete.
Step 3:
In the back, separate a triangle section in the low crown and braid off the scalp this time. Sections now pivot from this triangle and are braided to the scalp.
LOOK TWO: Galactic braids UPSTLE
Heating up the braids with Paul Mitchell Neuro Smooth flat iron created the wavy texture in this second look. After chilling out, the braids were undone, and RandCO OUTER SPACE flexible hairspray was applied to expand the texture and add hold. Finally the hair was pinned into a classic bob shape.
