"This is a true money making cut," says Brian Grieve, Emiliani Enterprises Creactive Director of his 'Progressive' cut. "The face frame is key. It's all about creating a soft textured line with graduation, leaving maximum length in the corners."

Using his seven inch shears created by former Sassoon Artistic Director Tim Hartley, Grieve points out that the sections should be clean and that elevation and overdirection can make or break the look. "This cut can be tweaked for length and works for short, medium or long finishes." The design also allows for artistry which is obvious when watching him cut a mannequin in the Emiliani Education Center in Union, New Jersey. "There is overdirection, undercombing, body positioning...its a very technical cut."
