City of Hope will present Spinks with its prestigious Spirit of Life Award at a dinner on Saturday, July 8. A leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases, City of Hope designates someone from the industry each year to honor for outstanding business and philanthropic achievement.

The PBA Business Forum Breakfast, July 9, 7:30 a.m. Keynote speaker Earvin “Magic” Johnson will present “Understand Your Customer and Over Deliver.” PBA Executive Director Steve Sleeper and Reuben Carranza, group president of R+Co & V76, Luxury Brand Partners, will discuss PBA’s transformational 2020 Strategic Roadmap and provide updates on beauty industry trends and issues.

North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA), July 9, 8 p.m. The always headlining photographic beauty competition will come to life on the NAHA stage as this year’s winners are announced. During the evening, PBA will present the NAHA 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award to industry icon Sam Villa, co-founder of Sam Villa and a Redken Global Artistic Ambassador. The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes significant achievements in technical skill, industry innovation and leadership.
