Your first move when a client requests balayage or a color melt is to reach for the bowl, brush and bleach. But wait! Thanks to a new collection of warm, cool, and neutral hairtalk® extensions Tape-In shades, you can add or cancel warmth, infuse hair with dimension and depth, and achieve any desired tonality without going near the color dispensary.
Hairtalk Creative Director Vicki Casciola and Senior Master Educator Tucker Cinalli added cool elegance (and lots of length) to this blonde using the new 62 platinum tape-in collection.
The 11 new shades in the collection represent trending hues, according to Hairtalk Brand Director, Esther Schoonover, and are perfect for creating lived-in hair color effects and balayage blends. There’s also a new range of 13-inch Colormelts™ shades, perfect for updating lobs and bobs.
The artistic team neutralized red undertones with cooler tape-in extensions. Using three new Hairtalk shades – 44, an ash brown, 4/18, a dark ash brown, and a few accents of 67, a pearly-toned beige – they created a natural, dimensional ashy brunette.
“With these shades, stylists can, for example, adjust the warm undertones in a Level 4 or 5 brunette with dimensional, ashy tones,” says Esther. “We also anticipate stylists will love the new 62 blonde collection—a group of solid, Rooted and Colormelts™ platinum tones. We’re confident every shade in the collection will become stylist staples for many seasons to come.”
Hairtalk’s new 13-inch Colormelts™ extensions offer a melted effect in a length clients love. Vicki used the new 3/7 CM – a rich chocolate color melt – extensions to upgrade a sharply-cut lob with a square fringe.
