At the most recent ARTIST SESSION, Jen Dozier, owner of the Bombshell Salon in Ellicott City, Maryland, decided she wanted to place a fringe on her model. "Unless your model already has an existing fringe," says Dozier, "you have to create it with either a piece or extensions." Dozier chose to create her fringe with extensions "because I wanted to have more control with the color and placement. While I love the new faux fringes out there, this is a great way to get exactly what you want for the perfect finished look."

Dozier selected Hairdreams "Quikkies" to complete her look. "They are so wonderful," she said of the tape in pieces. "I am layering throughout the hair, and after the shoot I will just remove them so that the model can leave with the same hair she came with!"

To get the best end result, Dozier emphasizes that the stylist should always keep the end look in mind while placing extensions.... and that the extensions should be placed in a bricklayer fashion or on a diagonal for a more natural look.
