Nicholas French: New Year Look

1 min to read

When Nicholas French learned his friend wanted a major hair cut and an 18-year-old student wanted to go blonde, he recruited them as models for our special makeover issue. French asked colleague and fellow Matrix Global Artistic Designer Daniel Roldan to offer his color expertise.

French’s first model, Kelley, wanted to cut her long, thick, virgin hair and donate it to Locks of Love. Before cutting away the ponytail, French isolated the last inch from the nape to offer more options when designing the hairline.

For color, Roldan decided to spice it up by adding some intensity to the base color and some excitement with gentle highlights.
