There was hot beauty backstage at Tadashi Shoji at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week today as the beauty teams prepped the models for the fall/winter 2015 collection. The collection, inspired by the joy of flight, was capped by hair and nails that feature weightless silhouettes and aerodynamic seaming that inspirits movement.

HAIR by RODNEY CUTLER using Redken:

"The hair for this collection is strong, clean and healthy looking," says Cutler. "It's sleek and shiny at the front and beautiful and bouncy at the back." The very low side parting is strong and defined and although the hair is chock full of product (Velvet Gelatine by Redken), it moves and is airy.

NAILS by KATIE JANE HUGHES using butter LONDON:

1. Start by applying butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Cotton Buds with a sponge making sure the nail tip is covered, so the white color fades up diagonally like a cloud.

2. Using butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Full Monty, use the opposite side of the sponge to soften any harsh lines and blend the white and gold nail lacquers slightly.  

3. Finish by using butter LONDON Hardwear P.D. Quick Top Coat to give the nails a brilliant shine.

SKIN CARE by Eileen Harcourt using PATCHOLOGY:

"Skin care makes the make up look better," says Harcourt. "These flashpatches are a new technology that allows immediate hydration and creates a reservoir of hydration for the skin." Harcourt points out that this is an ideal service in the salon for the client during a blow out or color service.
