Right now, in salons across the country, Supercuts stylists are sharpening their shears and prepping their color brushes. Why? Because the fourth annual Supercuts Gold Comb Awards contest, in partnership with John Paul Mitchell Systems, is off and running!

This highly anticipated competition — which is open to new and existing Supercuts stylists and salon managers — is a showcase for the behind-the-chair talents of the best of the best at Supercuts. It’s a chance to show off the skills they’ve learned while working for a salon brand that boasts some of the most extensive ongoing training in the industry.

And what’s at stake in the Gold Comb contest, besides a whole lot of bragging rights? Some amazing prize packs, featuring Paul Mitchell Pro Tools and Neuro Tools, including twenty THIRD PLACE winners taking home a prize package worth $250; twenty SECOND PLACE winners receiving a $500 prize package, and ten FIRST PLACE winners scoring grand prizes: an all-expense paid trip to a Paul Mitchell Advanced Training, plus the added bonus of attending the Regis Franchise Convention in Minneapolis, MN.

“Winning a Gold Comb award improved everything,” says 2018 Men’s winner Veronica Castro. “I learned so much in all the classes I attended, and the experience made me a much more confident stylist.”  And she offers this tip to would-be entrants: “Follow the instructions for entering. And follow the Supercuts technique. That’s how I won!”

Adds another 2018 winner, Natalie Velasquez, on how Gold Comb reflects the amazing work stylists do. “Think about it,” she says. “We do these transformations every day in the salon. We’re all winners in this industry!”

Contest Details and How to Enter
The competition began May 1, 2019, however entries will be accepted through noon Central Time on June 20, 2019. The Gold Comb contest is open to new and existing Supercuts stylists and salon managers. Participants can elect to submit an entry into one, two, or all the three categories: (1) Men’s Cut & Style, (2) Grey Blending or Highlights and (3) Before and After Cut Transformation. The contest will be judged by the Supercuts Education Team, and this year, the hair color looks will be judged in partnership with Paul Mitchell stylists Israel E De Leon and Scott Kimmel.

Entering is easy—simply upload your photos and fill out a quick electronic form on the contest site. Go to www.supercuts.com/goldcomb to get started. “Why not go for it?” asks previous winner Katie Grant. “After all, anything is possible!”
