Androgyny! People are using hair as an expression of who they are on the inside more. There's no 'one size fits all.' Experimenting outside of the hair binary is so fun right now.
What's one thing our industry should be talking about more?
LGBTQ+ affirming services! We have a responsibility to create inclusive spaces so people can experiment and feel good about playing with their look.
What skill will matter most to beauty professionals in the next five years?
Community over competition in salons! We all deserve to work somewhere where we feel at home and comfortable with our peers, and feel free to experiment and try new things with the support of our colleagues.
