Sola Salon Studios was recently named a top franchise to buy by Forbes Magazine. The accolade and success of the company is all credited to the more than 5,000 salon professionals at 230 locations nationwide and growing.

“Being able to give the American dream to thousands of stylists, it’s been the most rewarding business endeavor we’ve ever done,” said Stratton Smith, co-founder of Sola Salon Studios. “It’s all about experiencing the freedom to live the life you love.”

Sola Salon Studios leases high-end, private suites to salon professionals.  These suites are equipped with everything the salon professionals need to operate their own one or two-chair salon. It’s a successful model that has increased business by 30 percent in 2014 alone.

“The goal is for every stylist to live their best life, and that’s something different for everybody,” said Matt Briger, co-founder of Sola Salon Studios.

Sola Salon Studios was ranked number one as a franchise to buy in the $500,000+ initial investment category, above franchises like Massage Envy, Culvers and Hilton Garden Inn.

“We’re delighted to be at the top of the list of all of these well-known businesses,” said Jennie Wolff, Director of Marketing for Sola Salon Studios. “It really does show that Sola Salon Studios puts the beauty professional first.”

The list was determined by the likelihood of a franchisee’s investment success over time, the quality of the franchise system and a franchisor’s long-term commitment and ability to support their franchisees.

“It’s an amazing thought that more than 5,000 others dreams and aspirations of becoming an owner have been fulfilled,” said Jessica Foronda, owner of High Rise Hair Lounge in Elk Grove, Calif. “Everyone’s ultimate goal is to be our own boss and Sola Salons has made it a reality for us all. My career wouldn't be where it is today without an amazing company like this.”
