Joico just wrapped up day 2 of their three day 2011 National Sales Meeting and Modern Salon Media was there to catch up on some of the exciting news, updates and projections. 110 people from the North American Joico team have set up camp at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas where the meetings are being held. Titled "For The Love Beauty" there were many highlights.
Sara Jones, Vice President, General Manager of Joico kicked off the program giving out awards to Joico staffers including recognition of RESPECT and QUALITY. Anthony Perdigao, Vice President of Operations then updated the gathered on the latest in Joico's environmental initiatives. This was followed by an update from Candy Gebhardt, Vice President of Marketing who offered the latest news in packaging, promotion, merchandising, sales and education. "Our history will become our legacy," she said as she noted the success of the company over the past several years. Valerie Robinett, Public Relations Manager, offered the latest PR highlights including the 22,000 FACEBOOK fans and the 6,000,000 post views.
The biggest reaction from the crowd came at the announcement of a very special launch:
Beth Minardi, Joico Vero K-PAK Spokesperson, announced that as of January 1, 2012, the Minardi Color Care Products will become part of the Joico family. "Color is an art form," said Minardi before making the announcement that this line is to protect not just the color, but the integrity of the hair. "These products have not been tested on animals," she continued, "but for the past three years have been tested on very wealthy New Yorkers."
Also launched this afternoon was the Vero K_PAK Base Breaker line designed to lift color one level in ten minutes and three new shades in the Age Defy Vero K_PAK Color.
Smooth Cure, designed to fight Frizz, was introduced by Damien Carney who demonstrated the power and versatility of the product on four models.
The meeting wrapped with comments from Ron Krassin, President of Zotos, as he warmly congratulated Sara Jones as the "Spirit of Life" Award recipient to be presented this weekend at the City of Hope here in Las Vegas.
