Alterna Haircare is thrilled to announce the appointment of Raphaël Grange to the position of General Manager, filling the open role of CEO/President. Grange will take on the role beginning July 2016 and will be based out of the New York City Alterna corporate headquarters.

Raphaël Grange has been appointed Alterna Haircare general manager.

Alterna Haircareis thrilled to announce the appointment of Raphaël Grange to the position of General Manager, filling the open role of CEO/President. Grange will take on the role beginning July 2016 and will be based out of the New York City Alterna corporate headquarters.

In his new role at the head of the Alterna Haircare leadership team, Grange will strategically lead the development and geographical expansion of the brand, including growing the brand’s existing multi-channel strategy of direct-to-consumer business and growth of the salon professional channel. He will report directly to Stefan Mund, Regional Head Henkel Beauty Care Hair Professional in North America.

“We are thrilled to welcome Raphael to the Alterna family,” said Mund. “His proven track record of success within Henkel and his extensive industry experience will be invaluable assets for the Alterna team as the brand enters its next phase in growth.”

Grange brings 13 years’ experience of working with FMCG companies in the beauty sector, including eight years at Henkel. After successful tenures in leadership positions at Proctor & Gamble and Henkel, he was most recently promoted to General Manager for Henkel Beauty Care in South Korea, where he worked and lived for two years.

“I am very excited and proud to be joining the Alterna Haircare brand,” said Grange. “Alterna is a leader in premium haircare and I’m looking forward to continuing to push the envelope in the industry with future innovations.”

Grange holds several degrees, including an MS in Engineering from Arts & Métiers Paris Tech, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley, an MBA from ESSEC Business School and an MS in Finance from Paris 1 Sorbonne. He is also fluent in German and proficient in French and Spanish.
