A brand born near the beaches and raised in the rays of the SoCal sun, Sexy Hair continues to celebrate its origins with its haircut and style collections.  A recent photo shoot was held at the Malibu estate of ageless beauty, actress, artist and philanthropist Jane Seymour, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, under the shade of swaying palm trees.

As with other collections, Sexy Hair is offering three haircuts, styled three different way--Real Girl, Trendy Girl, Glam Girl--plus an updo collection and men's haircuts and styles.

"So many trends start here in Hollywood and at the West Coast," says Sexy Hair Artistic Creative Director Rafe Hardy. "That laid back, California style has influenced so many celebrities, today, who are over the high-maintenance looks and going for a pixie with a lot of versatility.  That style can be worn wet, dry, textured, up, down,  parted left or right.  What we offer in all these haircuts is a system hairdressers can understand to create a design. They can take this inspiration right into the salon to offer some new options for their clients."

There are also cuts for medium and long lengths.  "With this medium haircut, you can stand in the back to do the whole cut.  You still have a long front, it still hits the shoulder and you can still put it up in a pony. We've modernized it and created a textured perimeter with lots of movement in the bottom profile.

"For long hair, I created a rounder, fuller haircut instead of basic square layering which takes out the density and makes your client think you've cut too much.  It just freshens things and gives a more tousled, beachy feel."

Hardy's men's profiles remind stylists that the Sexy Hair line contains products (molding paste, shaping cream, Hard Up Gel, etc.) perfect for men's grooming and barbering services, too. "The trend in beards has demanded shorter hair.  Guys today are doing a lot of skin tight fades with a long top so I created an assymetrical undercut with a scissor-over-comb technique and kept the top long enough to allow for versatility and texture.  He can still wear it with his natural part or kick it to the opposite side." Hardy has a longer style for guys, too, as he anticipates that long hair is coming back for men. "It's kind of a 'male bohemian' look."

Stay tuned for the full reveal of the new collection in January 2016.
