Hairstylists from all over the world traveled to Las Vegas for a Sexy Hair education and hands on training event. The week long symnposium, called “Sexy Hair: The Experience,”offered new educators access to classes where they receive guidance, hands-on training and coaching from seasoned Sexy Hair trainers. Attendees participated in workshops ranging from social media best practices, certifications, platform artist auditions in addition to training on the new Sexy Hair products and new Modern Hollywood Collection.
“The way we present the information at this conference was developed by stylists for stylists and is all inclusive and comprehensive,” said Stephanie Polansky, Director of Education for Sexy Hair. “It addresses questions, gives them a safe environment to practice, learn about new and existing products, help them develop new cutting-edge skills, polish existing skills and be inspired by the process.”
This year, Sexy Hair invited four-time winner of the prestigious North American Hairdressing Award (NAHA) and three-time Editors Choice award recipient, Vivienne Mackinder to address attendees. She talked to stylists about beating adversity and encouraged them to keep reaching for their dreams..
In addition to first hand experiences, new Sexy Hair artists were submerged into the company’s culture where they met and networked with other more experienced educators, sales and staff at the annual Red Party. Sexy Hair President and Chief Executive Officer, Karl-Heinz Pitsch took the stage to talk about the charitable campaign, Caring Is Sexy, and the Sexy Hair mission to give back. Checks were presented to City of Hope in the amount of $71k and Look Good Feel Better in the amount of $50k as a result of year-long fundraising efforts. Since the inception of the Caring Is Sexy initiative, Sexy Hair has donated more than three quarter of a million dollars to a variety of non-profit organizations.
“Sexy Hair is about giving back, not only to our community through fundraising, but also giving our stylist community,” said Pitsch. “Twice a year, we offer education updates that not only inspire them but also sharpen their skill sets so that they can be masters of their craft in the salon.”
You don’t have to be a member of the Sexy Hair team to reap the educational benefits. The company offers hairstylists the opportunity to have their own “Sexy Hair Experience “ with hands-on workshops, in-store product demos, Sexy Rocks events, webinars and even a two-day class at the Sexy Hair academy; steps away from the beautiful sandy beaches in Santa Monica, CA.
