The new face of fundraising is cold. What is called the"Ice Bucket/Cold Water Challenge" has been embraced by a group of North Texas Sport Clips Haircuts team members who are dumping a freezing cold bucket of ice water on their heads to raise money for the Wayne McGlone Memorial Relief Fund.
The fund was established in 2012 in memory of a much-respected Sport Clips Area Developer. Keli Rasor, a Sport Clips Coach, is credited with kicking-off the challenge among Dallas-area stylists, managers, coaches and franchisees. They got together this summer to add to the fund by challenging others within the Sport Clips team to get frigid and donate $10 or forgo the freeze and pay $50.
