Sunlights Balayage, the makers and purveyors of balayage products and education, and The Kirschner Group (‘TKG’), a global sales organization in the professional beauty industry, announced that TKG will be representing Sunlights internationally, in markets outside of North America. This alliance, effective immediately, is set to kick-off at Cosmoprof North America in July 2017.
Three-year-old Sunlights is currently distributed in eight countries and on three continents. Sunlights was founded by celebrity hairstylist Candy Shaw, a globally-recognized authority on balayage education and a leader in the 'balayage revolution.'
Founded by CEO Harlan Kirschner in 1983, TKG employs a team of global business experts who specialize in connecting the best beauty brands in America with the best distributors around the globe.
Headed by Paolo Rezzara, Vice President International, TKG’s international division is made up of a sales force of nearly two dozen.
“We are really excited to start promoting Sunlights Balayage worldwide," Rezzara says. "With this new brand we will be able to elevate the hairdresser around the world, offering new and unique tools and awesome education to help them perform better quality work in a more environmentally friendly atmosphere."
Sunlights’ friendship with TKG began in earnest at Cosmoprof N.A. last summer when the brand won ‘Beauty Pitch’—‘The Shark Tank of the Professional Beauty Industry’ in the ‘Start-Up’ category sponsored by TKG. As part of its Grand Prize Sunlights received a US $5,000 cash infusion from TKG presented by CEO Harlan Kirschner.
"Our family couldn’t be more pleased than to align ourselves with TKG, the world’s leading manufacturers’ rep firm," Shaw says. "Together we plan to capitalize on Sunlights’ meteoric growth and paint even more of the globe yellow as we spread both sunshine and Sunlights to every continent!”
“We are honored and excited to work with the fine team at Sunlights Balayage as they are a progressive and creative company," Kirschner says. "We believe they will add both value and growth to the salon industry.”
