WE ASKED INDUSTRY LEADERS TO TALK ABOUT WHAT TECHNOLOGICAL AND INDUSTRY TRENDS THEY SEE ON THE HORIZON AND HOW THEY THINK THESE CHANGES AND INNOVATIONS WILL SHAPE OUR WAY OF DOING BUSINESS IN THE FUTURE.

Tom Porter

"The use of both the smart phone and tablet for real education geared toward both the stylist and their client is a technology trend that is on the horizon. Manufacturers have become more savvy and now offer a multitude of tools to help professionals advance and refine their professional education through various avenues of digital media available on smart devices. Learning modules that are animated and engaging as well as short (average three minutes), quick and easy are becoming more and more popular. In the new age of digital media, these videos offer stylists and their clients instant access to solutions for common and severe challenges, from color preparation to color correction, among others. These new digital technologies often spotlight new ingredient technologies that are used to both educate professionals and motivate clients to see the importance and value of the salon services."
