In its 15 years, Bio Ionic ionic hair care technology has introduced NanoIonic™ tools, the Retex Japanese straightening, the Agave story, and patented appliances like OnePass, 10X dryer, and StyleWinder.
President and CEO of Bio Ionic Fernando Romero, announces some changes at the company.
"To achieve all of the above has been gratifying for Kay and myself, while challenging our three sons to assist in this journey," says Romero. "We have been blessed with terrific management at all levels and we are grateful for all their contributions to our success. But, as we face new challenges in the years’ ahead, we need evolve again by adding a new Chief Operating Officer who will lead the company into the next chapter."
On December 1st, Tom Gebhart will be joining in the positon of Chief Operating Officer with all staff reporting to him.
"Tom’s background has been a terrific 7 year role as General Manager of Belson Products, a division of Helen of Troy, a public company," says Romero. " With many years directing Belson’s tool division and many years working as a V.P. Merchandising at Beauty Systems Group, Tom comes with a world of experience and a unique vision for the future.
"On a special note, Jay Jacobs, our EVP- General Manager will be turning 70 in December and has requested to continue on a part time basis focusing on the private label side of our business. At the same time, Jay will support Tom in his new role as COO in order to insure the top management transition becomes seamless for Bio Ionic. This process will occur over several months as we want to insure a proper hand-off of responsibilities.
"Both Kay and I want to thank Jay for his 13 years of contribution, dedication and efforts and want to welcome Tom to the Bio Ionic family. We both feel excited for the future and grateful to all of you for the past 15 years."
