At the ACE Hotel in London on February 13, invited guests had the pleasure of participating in the official UK launch of men’s grooming brand V76 by Vaughn. V76 by Vaughn is exclusively distributed in the UK and Ireland by Creative Culture Brands.
The founder of the brand, Vaughn Acord, flew in from his New York base to bring the brand to life in front of press, digital influencers and celebrities. Opening the evening, the President of V76 By Vaughn, Reuben Carranza, introduced Acord, while also offering an insight to the men’s grooming market.
Acord took his audience through his career, from walking global fashion runways to becoming a sought-after authority in men’s grooming. The son of a barber, his interest in hair peaked at an early age, and he gave his first haircut as a teen in 1976. He worked behind the scenes with the likes of Annie Leibovitz, Robert Maxwell and the late Herb Ritts. His current client list includes Bruce Springsteen, Richard Gere, Daniel Day Lewis, Tom Brady, President Bill Clinton, Aston Kutcher and Al Pacino.
Focusing on the line and its development, Acord introduced the four distinct categories that celebrate the diversity of men’s grooming: Well Groomed, Boldly Barbered, Face Forward and, soon to come, Gifted Man.
Acord's presentation featured three key trends and took inspiration from the new British gent while working with longer-length hair to demonstrate transformation grooming.
“It has never been more OK to care about how you look," Acord says. "V76 by Vaughn is a full men’s grooming line, empowering guys everywhere to look their best. When we do, we feel better, we perform better. Being part of this strong global awareness and factoring in my lifetime of experience helps understanding of the growing men’s market, and the vision of our brand.”
Alastair Gourley, managing director of Creative Culture Brands, said: “V76 by Vaughn is a well thought-out, complete grooming line for men, appealing to all, celebrating diversity in the market.”
