Comfort is key in providing optimal service for your client. Satin
Smooth's Titanium Blue Thin Film Hard Wax is especially geared toward
men and contains Azulene, a calming oil and zinc oxide which helps to
prevent breakouts. This wax, along with Satin Smooth’s Tea Tree with

I just heard about this wonderful competition that rewards the winner or winners with a prize valued to $13,000 in hard and software for the salon. Harms Software Inc., creators of Millennium, is celebrating and sharing its victory (after receiving a fourth consecutive award for favorite spa software) with “The Perfect Match” contest. The contest has a love story theme.

Most of us stay in this business because we have come to appreciate, among many other aspects of the salon industry, that hair has the power to affect how people see themselves, express themselves and establish a cultural and lifestyle essence for themselves.

Pivot Point stresses the importance of students being able to “see and think as a designer” through each of its lessons. Recently, we had the opportunity to bring in our first LIVE models to the salon floor and perform a full consultation, cut and style.

ProSilk Blue....a beauty
I’m in my 10th week at Pivot Point, and we’re just wrapping up our
lessons on long hair design. I love being creative, but I have a hard
time getting started. Because I don’t have much experience, I need to
have an idea of what I want to do before I begin—but I’m not at the
point where I feel confident enough to create a wearable look that
doesn’t look too prom-y or avant-garde. It’s like I’m having a tough
time finding a happy medium. Now that I got out the “Debbie Downer” in me, OH MY GOD! I love updos!
