Emma Watson made a splash last week when she debuted her new Mia Farrow-like crop. It was a drastic change for the Harry Potter actress, who had kept her locks long for years to play Hermione in the eight films. She's not the only one who's been to the salon recently, though. Naomi Watts also showed off a new, shorter blunt cut at the Salt premiere, and Scarlett Johansson modeled a short, choppy bob at Comic Con.
Good morning! I'm here in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino with more than 600 hairdressers for Oribe's two-day hair extravaganza, Backstage! I'm so excited for the day's events to begin.
MODERN’s Artist Session 3, a two-day seminar and photo shoot is
designed to guide salon owners and stylists on how to create beautiful
photos and learn how to get more publicity for themselves or their
salons. Attendees develop a portfolio and learn how to break into the
freelance hair business.
To keep the magic alive from the Oribe Backstage event that was held in April, the Oribe team invited all that attended to return to their salons and use the inspiration to enter the Backstage Las Vegas Style-off photo competition. More than 330 took up the challenge and have been submitting photos using the "Grotesque Glamour" theme as a launching point.
The Kao Salon Virtual Experience delivers 48 hours of runway shows, technical demonstrations, special interest panels and future talks with the event culminating with the Global Creative Awards.
During the session, Oribe Brand Ambassador Stacey Ciceron will demonstrate how to create a variety of styles on 4A-4C natural hair using products from the Moisture and Control Collection for highly textured hair.
LBP CEO Tev Finger, and Dan Langer, Chief Marketing Officer and President of E-Commerce, share their thoughts on the launch, growth and acquisition of Oribe; insight into the mind of an entrepreneur; and the exciting future of LBP’s portfolio of booming brands.
