How would you style hair for a 1950s vacation through Southern California to Joshua Tree National Park? Like this, of course.
James Pecis, Oribe Hair Care global ambassador, is the man behind the half-up hairstyles seen at the Brock Collection runway show. Pecis used Oribe products to style the look, including a not-yet-released volumizing powder spray, out spring 2017.
The light, airy look was complemented by dusty texture, courtesy of dry shampoo and texture powder spray, to mimic the landscape of Joshua Tree National Park, which was the inspiration behind Brock Collection's clothing designs.
GET THE LOOK:
STEP 1. Prep hair with Maximista Thickening Spray from roots to ends, and blow-dry smooth while creating volume on top.
STEP 2. Wave the hair in alternating directions using a 1 1Ž4-inch wand.
STEP 3. Divide hair into three front sections—the top section (temple to temple, ending at the top of the crown) and two side sections that go from the top of the crown to behind the top of each ear.
STEP 4. Sprinkle Swept Up Volume Powder Spray (spring 2017) into the roots of each section to give hair texture.
STEP 5. Spray Gold Lust Dry Shampoo at the roots of the three sections to catch baby hairs if needed.
STEP 6. Starting with the top section, direct hair straight up and secure with an elastic several inches from the root. Twist the hair and push it forward to create a bubble (a version of a victory roll), securing with two bobby pins through the elastic.
STEP 7. Repeat on each of the side sections, ensuring that each section appears separate.
