The Green Beauty Community (GBC) is excited to announce its transformation into a nonprofit organization, amplifying its commitment to making sustainable beauty practices the industry standard.
GBC met with key industry leaders at America's Beauty Show – including Pivot Point International, Innersense Organic Beauty, Oway, Insight Professional, Lucas Products, and Green Circle Salons – to discuss how to best support industry sustainability, leading to the decision to transition GBC into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This allows GBC to better serve the industry with resources, education, and community engagement aimed at promoting environmentally friendly practices.
Daniel Johnson, Founder of The Green Beauty Community, shared, "As a nonprofit, we are now uniquely positioned to accelerate our mission of driving sustainability in beauty. Our goal is to empower professionals, brands, and consumers alike to embrace eco-conscious choices that benefit both people and the planet."
This transformation comes at a key moment, as GBC proudly participates in Earth Gives Day 2024—a nationwide initiative running from September 6 through October 1, which elevates the critical work of environmental and climate-focused nonprofits. Earth Gives Day provides a unique opportunity for supporters to contribute directly to causes like GBC, helping address pressing environmental challenges.
"Joining Earth Gives Day is a natural extension of our mission to make sustainable beauty the new norm," Johnson added. "We invite our supporters, industry partners, and the broader community to unite with us. Your contributions will directly fund initiatives aimed at educating and inspiring sustainable practices throughout the beauty industry."
