Marlo Steenman, founder and North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) Colorist of the Year award winner, announced today that the salon is launching Curls Gone Wild. Ms. Steenman’s innovative, comprehensive education program is designed to help stylists master curly hair techniques by elevating curl care, cutting, and styling, and by enhancing client relationships at the chair.
Inspired by Marlo’s personal curl journey and years of client experience, Curls Gone Wild offers a practical, results-driven approach to understanding curl patterns, refining cutting and styling techniques, and
building a successful curl-focused business.
“Curls Gone Wild reflects my own journey and the challenges so many clients face,” said Steenman. “This class empowers stylists with simple, repeatable techniques that deliver real results — both creatively and financially.”
The class equips stylists with tools to enhance natural texture, improve client communication, and increase bookings, retention, and revenue. The program features hands-on instruction, efficient cutting methods, step-by-step curl-styling demonstrations, and business-building strategies tailored to curly clientele. Marlo’s signature approach prioritizes texture, hair health, and confidence while helping professionals reconnect with the artistry of working with curls.
