Robert Josef, Erica Jemison, Chad Taylor and Eve Parr all won first prize in their categories in Joico’s first-ever Shoot-To-Win photo competition. What did they win? A trip to Toronto to create a photo collection to enter in the North American Hairstyling Awards with top photographer, Babak, along with mentoring from Joico International Creative Director, Damien Carney. These Joico and ISO artists were encouraged to feature the Joico or ISO collection of products in a makeover that included a “before” shot and up to five different “after” shots.

On behalf of Joico, Jemison produced an edgy, deep brunette with a dramatic asymmetrical fringe accented with deep violet (right) and Chad Taylor offered up a stunning, frothy, champagne blonde. In the ISO category, Robert Josef produced coffee-colored, full-textured curl, while Eve Parr rocked her style with her vivid red-violet hue.

In Dubai, Clients Visit the Salon Every Week. Here’s What That Market Can Teach You

In Dubai, a salon visit isn’t an appointment. It’s a weekly routine, and clients can spend $800 to $1,400 a month on it, according to Gaurav Tripathi of MADI International. On October 6-8, 2026, the market behind those numbers opens its doors as Beautyworld Dubai marks its 30th edition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together distributors, brands, stylists and salon owners from all over the world.
