Wella Professionals is calling on hairstylists to enter the 2026 Trend Vision Awards, the brand’s prestigious global competition celebrating artistry, creativity, design and technical range.
Designed for the industry’s most elevated professionals, the Trend Vision Awards has long championed artistry that pushes boundaries while honoring precision, transformation and editorial storytelling. Winners from participating countries will represent their home teams at Wella’s international event, taking place this year in Algarve, Portugal.
Rooted in minimalism and intentional design, the 2026 theme challenges artists to create a story that is minimal yet impactful, refined yet daring.
“Monochromatic” explores how one color family can be interpreted through multiple tones, textures and dimensions to produce a look that feels modern, confident and elevated.
Artists may enter their vision in one of two global categories: Color Craft Transformation or Editorial Transformation.
The Color Craft Transformation category challenges artists to create a complete transformation through the lens of the Monochromatic theme.
Focused on color execution, the category emphasizes the technical precision required to build depth, dimension and movement within a singular tonal range. From thoughtful placement to bold saturation, entrants are invited to demonstrate how one hue can become a showcase of elevated color craftsmanship.
The Editorial Transformation category invites artists to tell a Monochromatic story through haircutting.
While color may be the expected focus of a monochromatic theme, this category asks artists with a strong editorial eye to use shape, structure, texture and silhouette to express a unified vision with careful consideration for the individual.
From sharp architectural lines to sculpted movement, every detail should feel refined and cohesive. The challenge is to prove that monochrome is not only about simplicity; it can also make a powerful editorial statement.
Entries must use color products from the Wella Professionals color portfolio, along with styling products from Wella Professionals or Sebastian Professional. The use of other color or styling products may result in disqualification.
Finalists will receive a trip to New York City to attend the House of Wella event.
The first-place winner in each category will receive $5,000 and a trip to Algarve, Portugal, for Wella Destination. Second-place winners will receive $3,000, while third-place winners will receive $1,000.
Entries opened July 1 and close September 1. Finalists will be announced September 15, and the U.S. winners will be revealed at the House of Wella event in New York on October 19.
