Our host for the evening, Guillaume Cantelou reminded us of the tremendous legacy of the brand and its exciting future.
At the evening's start, Guillaume Cantelou, Senior Vice President U.S., General Manager, for the Wella Company Pro Hair Division USA, set the tone for the event.
“I want to take a moment to reflect on Wella’s journey,” Cantelou said. “We’ve been around for a very long time, more than 140 years. In fact, Wella was founded 145 years ago in Germany. In the United States, we’ve been partnering with salon professionals for 75 years. That’s generations of talented hairstylists and salon owners, and that legacy is something we’re incredibly proud of.”
“But I’m not here today to talk about the past, I’m here to talk about the future," Cantelou continued. "Over the last year, we’ve been defining what the next era of Wella looks like. We’ve reestablished our vision to become the number one salon professional company worldwide. In many markets around the globe, we’re already leading, and we have a clear ambition to make that happen here in the U.S. as well.
“A big part of how we’ll get there is by tapping into the full potential of our incredible portfolio of brands. We have the tools, the innovation and the community to shape what’s next for professional beauty, and we’re just getting started.”
