Beauty By Imagination will officially launch its new corporate branding in October 2019.

J&D Brush Co., LLC (“JD Beauty” or “JDB”) whose brands include Wetbrush, Bio Ionicand OuidadandGoody Products Inc. (“Goody”), announced that, following the successful carve-out of Goody from Newell and the merger and integration of Goody and JD Beauty, the companies will launch Beauty By Imagination (”BBI” or the “Company”) which will serve as the brands’ new parent company. Additionally, the Company announced its Board of Directors has designated Francesca Raminella, Chief Commercial Officer of JDB/Goody, and Gary Dailey, Chief Financial and Chief Operations Officer of JDB/Goody, to jointly lead BBI.
Ken Brotman, on behalf of the Company’s Board of Directors, said “We are very pleased with the integration that started in March 2019. We believe we have achieved our goal to create a powerful multi-brand diversified haircare, accessory, liquid and tool company uniquely poised to serve the beauty industry and to take BBI to new levels. While we continue to mourn the untimely death of our dear friend and partner Jeffrey Davidson in July, we believe he built a fantastic team and the Board of Directors is confident Francesca and Gary will lead BBI forward and continue Jeffrey’s vision for the Company.”

Raminella and Dailey both served in the senior executive team alongside Davidson, throughout the integration of the Bio Ionic brand, the acquisition of Ouidad and ultimately, the successful sale of JD Beauty to ACON Investments, L.L.C. and merger of Goody in March 2019. Both individuals have been, and continue to be, an integral part of the success of the business, delivering high growth, and sharing the same passion, commitment and vision for the future of the Company.
Through this shared leadership role, Raminella and Dailey will effectively and efficiently work together to lead the Company forward by leveraging each other’s expertise and strengths. Dailey will continue to focus on the global financial and operations aspects of the business, along with potential add-on acquisitions, while Raminella will focus on the global commercial side, including marketing, sales and product development.

FRANCESCA RAMINELLA – Chief Commercial Officer
Francesca Raminella joined JD Beauty in the spring of 2018 as Chief Commercial Officer assuming responsibility for global sales, marketing and innovation. In her tenure, in addition to leading the commercial organization to a 32% growth in FY 2018, Francesca joined the Executive Team in planning and executing the integration efforts of the Bio Ionic brand, the acquisition of Ouidad and ultimately, the successful sale of JD Beauty to ACON Investments in March 2019. Prior to JD Beauty, Francesca has held management and executive roles in the beauty business with Global Companies such as P&G, Revlon, Playtex and L’Oréal. Prior to joining JDB, she was President of ghd North America and contributed to the sale of the company to Coty in 2016.
GARY DAILEY – Chief Financial and Chief Operations Officer
Gary Dailey joined JD Beauty in the fall of 2016 as Chief Financial and Operations Officer. In addition to working with the leadership team during these past few hyper-growth years, Gary collaborated and executed with the Executive Leadership team on the acquisitions and integration efforts of the Bio Ionic and Ouidad deals along with the sale of JD Beauty to ACON Investments earlier this year. He is currently overseeing the Goody carve out and integration efforts. Prior to JD, Gary has held C-Suite level finance and operations positions in various CPG companies both publicly and private equity held since 1999, including The Hain Celestial Group and Everlast Worldwide. Dailey started his career at EY in 1989.
