“For the last several weeks, we have been seeking counsel from the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois and McCormick Place, as well as consulting with the CDC and WHO regarding COVID-19. Our primary concern is the safety and health of licensed beauty professionals and our exhibitor partners that serve them so diligently,” said Frank Fulco, Chief Executive Officer of Cosmetologists Chicago.

Cosmetologists Chicago is encouraging all licensed beauty professionals to be proactive in following standards set by the CDC, including washing hands regularly, social distancing and encouraging staff to stay home when sick and disinfecting frequent touchpoints. Specific precautions taken in the salon space can also help protect professionals and assure clients.

Additional resources on COVID-19 include the CDC and The Chicago Department of Public Health.

America’s Beauty Show 2020 will not take place this year, but America’s Beauty Show 2021 is scheduled for April 17-19, 2021 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, IL. Applications for exhibitors for next year’s event and ticket sales for next year’s event will open the summer of 2020.
