Redken has named Gino Trunzo as their new assistant vice president of business development with Redken & Pureology. With an established beauty career spanning over 15 years, Trunzo has been recognized as a strategic leader and trendsetter. Most recently, he served as the assistant vice president of education at essie, where he led nationwide annual summits, developed a team of 30 educators around the country, and achieved over $20M in essie polish business sales growth. Trunzo will be bringing his experience in all beauty services and operations and skills in both staff training and development to both brands.

In his past roles, Trunzo has built high-performance teams through his instructive coaching and management style. For seven years, he owned and ran Rescue Hand and Foot Spa located in Los Angeles, a popular, premier pampering destination. Trunzo has also managed sizeable salons in New York and New Jersey and developed education with Frederic Fekkai and Depasquale the Spa.

“I am eager to bring my many years of experience within professional beauty to Redken and Pureology,” Trunzo says. “My business development ability is to gain an edge for a profitable niche by focusing on the premium market. Innovative ideas are the golden wealth of a growing business and the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. I believe I can help all professionals ‘learn, earn and live’ even better.”

At Redken and Pureology, Trunzo will be identifying innovative ideas, screening, locating, proposing and closing business deals by contacting potential partners, along with planning training strategies, maintaining existing customers, and continuing to grow both brands.
